Over the past twenty nine years Epsilon has managed a wide variety of refurbishment and new-build projects ranging from public travel facilities, theatres, museums, residential and offices. Some of the more notable are listed below.
HACKNEY EMPIRE THEATRE Epsilon was appointed as Construction Manager to complete the project. After six months intensive work on site the original Matcham Theatre was opened on time and budget. The new wing opened after a further six months when the full interior fit out, external brickwork, installation of terracotta external cladding and the terracotta letters to the Hackney Empire sign, were finished. The project was awarded the RIBA Conservation Commendation 2005.
LONDON TRANSPORT MUSEUM Epsilon has acted as Construction Manager on many projects for the Museum since 1993 and as Construction Advisor on their £20 million overhaul completed in late 2007. Since then we have managed several further projects (See Latest News Section).
SHREE SWAMINARAYAN TEMPLE KINGSBURY Epsilon acted as Contract Administrator for the whole project and Construction
Manager for all the internal fit-out, services and stonework. The project starred in 2012, and was completed in advance of the official opening in August 2014. It included a separate Multi-Function Hall and extensive external works and was
valued at £12 million.
VICTORIA COACH STATION Epsilon has acted as Construction Manager on over twenty projects for Victoria Coach Station since completing the re-roofing and part new structure to the Arrivals Garage in 1990/91. Following this Epsilon managed the complete refurbishment of the Departures Terminal in 1991/92. The project, valued at £4.1 million, was completed within budget and opened six months ahead of schedule. The Coach Station remained fully operational whilst the works were carried out in approximately 10 different sections. Twenty million passengers passed through the Coach Station during its two year refurbishment. In 2008 we managed the refurbishment of some of the passenger facilities that were built during the original refurbishment of 1991/92.
ST BARBE MUSEUM & ART GALLERY Epsilon provided a full Construction Management service which encompassed full cost control and on site management for the £2 million refurbishment of the Museum. The works included the construction of a completely new entrance and terrace area which included 16 metre wide x 7 metre high "crinkle-crankle" wall with a 12 metre wide opening to the new entrance screen. Works were completed on programme in July 2017 and costs were controlled so effectively that the Museum was able to bring out of scope elements into scope, within the approved Cost Plan figures.
